Face to Faith

Year 9 pupils from Ballycastle High School and Cross and Passion College have been working together since December, preparing for their first video conferences through the Tony Blair Face to Faith project.
Face to Faith is a school programme for 12-17 year olds, which is active in 17 countries and is growing fast throughout the world. Face to Faith connects students worldwide via a secure website where they interact. The programme features facilitated video conferences where students discuss global issues from a variety of faith and belief perspectives.
On Thursday 19th January pupils gathered together at Ballycastle High School to carry out two video conferences, one with Leo Baeck Junior High in Israel and one with Loyola High School in Quebec.
Through Face to Faith, students gain the dialogue skills required to prevent conflict by breaking down religious and cultural stereotypes.
Ballycastle High School and Cross and Passion College have plans to expand the work of Face to Faith throughout KS3 and into GCSE and A level.
