Ballycastle High School

The Technology and Design Department sets out to develop independent learning and lateral thinking through a range of courses at Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 levels.

The main aims of the department are:

To develop an awareness through observation of everyday technological products and systems.
To enable pupils to make reasoned judgements of an aesthetic, economic and moral nature.
To ensure that pupils are versatile and well equipped to meet the demands of an ever changing technological world.

We strive to achieve these goals through a balanced mixture of theory, practical and ICT work. The school also takes part in the Formula 1 in Schools Technology Challenge. For more information on this, please click on the link below.
